kitchen chaos

So much to tell you about the work we’ve been doing in the kitchen…

It’s been both good and bad on the pair of us.

Tonight, I saw a great post over on Adam’s blog, one he took and made his own.

I was making several of these points just this weekend about several co-workers and also the boyfriend’s nieces. So many of these “adults” in my life under 25 are so different from where I think they should be. I realize not all kids under 25 are all this way. I also realize that I was married at 23 and so I am not the norm either. Still, I would like to ask the 18- 25 crowd to keep some of those and these rules in mind:

While tardiness won’t be on your “permanent record”, it does inconvenience others and is rather rude.

Do not disrespect those around you for the sake of your cell phone, blackberry, etc. If you really need to make a call or respond to a text, please at the very least, excuse yourself.

While we’re on the topic of phones, we can hear you. Your personal relationship drama does not need to be broadcast to the entire store, workplace or restroom.

Pajama pants are appropriate to wear to bed, to clean in, when you’re sick. Do not wear them to work, to shop or to go out in.

Your dream job may be out there, but living in your parents’ basement and not working until you find it is a tad bit unreasonable. Sometimes you have to do something you don’t want to do until the right job works its way to you.

I’m really just ranting, but these thoughts have been on my mind for a few days now and I was glad for the chance to get them off my chest.

peak and dip

I wonder, why my drive is always higher, why I always want it more.

Is he normal, or am I abnormal or both?

Once a week is reasonable, it’s not so bad, but a few times a week isn’t asking too much, is it?

Maybe it is.
